Poojas, Festivals & Special Ceremonies

Our temple offers a full team of highly qualified priests, fluent in Sanskrit, Hindi, Tamil, Kannada, Telugu, and English, and well-versed in Agama Shastras. They perform poojas with sincerity, precision, and spiritual depth—whether it’s for regular temple rituals or private family occasions such as:

• Weddings
• Birthdays
• Car or House Warmings
• Other special religious events

We ensure additional local priests are engaged during major festivals to maintain the highest standard of rituals and devotee experience.

Community & Family Events at SVT

Both the Shiva and Balaji temples host a wide range of cultural and spiritual events, including:

• Sankara Jayanthi, Annamacharya Jayanthi
• Bhajans, Carnatic & Hindustani concerts
• Children's religious and cultural programs
• Lectures on the Gita and Upanishads
• Talks by Swamijis

We offer complete event management support, including:

• Promotion & email notifications
• Stage & sound system setup
• Catering coordination

Community groups are encouraged to organise such events, even in suburban venues, to support temple fundraising and children’s religious education. Priests are available for Utsavamoorthy Darshan during these occasions.

Canteen, Catering & Annadhanam

Our weekend and holiday temple canteen is known for its:

• Fresh, tasty, high-quality snacks
• Prompt service from a modern, hygienic kitchen
• Tea, coffee, and refreshments

We also offer catering services for weddings and special functions held at the temple. Facilities available for your events include:

• Food preparation and serving areas
• Cold room, re-heating stations, gas stoves

Canteen Opening Hours: Monday- 10.00 AM to 01.00 PM (half day), 10 AM – 4 PM (Weekends & Public Holidays)

Garlands & Temple Decorations

Every Thursday, devoted volunteers prepare fresh flower garlands for all deities. This beautiful tradition has flourished for years. We can also provide garlands for your weddings and special events.

A flower garden is being cultivated within the temple grounds to provide natural blooms for daily poojas and decorations.

Amenities: Showers, Toilets, Mother’s Room & First-Aid

To cater to the needs of our growing community, we provide:

• Modern toilets & showers
• Mother’s room with baby facilities
• First-aid room for emergencies

These clean, accessible amenities enhance comfort for all visitors.

Educational & Cultural Hall (Upcoming)

Plans are in progress to build a 400-seat multipurpose hall equipped with:

• A library
• Meditation space
• Multimedia system
• Archives of temple videos and photos

This hall will host cultural, educational, and spiritual functions. Donations are welcome to support this project.

Marquee – Outdoor Function Area

Host your weddings, receptions, or private events (up to 600 guests) in our beautifully built marquee area, complete with:

• Catering services (by temple or external vendors)
• Outdoor stage access
• Seating, lighting & sound systems

Kalyana Mandapam (Wedding Hall)

Thanks to generous donors, the temple now offers a Kalyana Mandapam for:
